What does fieldwork mean in anthropology?

Within the Summer at ULisboa 2019, ICS offers a week to “Discover Social Worlds”.  Inês Ponte coordinates an activity for high school students (10º-12º years), about what an anthropologist does. The ICS week includes other activities with social scientists from other disciplines such as sociology and social psychology.

Screening of Making a living in the dry season

In this session we will watch a 35 minutes documentary filmed at an agro-pastoralist village in Angola. We will then discuss the daily life in the rural context, the field anthropology research conditions in which the film was made, and “do” something inspired by it.
